RETURNS, REFUNDS & EXCHANGES POLICY
This Returns, Refunds and Exchanges Policy governs all purchases made on MAPO.pt, operated by Sousa & Augusto Lda. By placing an order, the customer acknowledges and accepts the terms outlined below.
1. GENERAL CONDITIONS
– MAPO products are delivered with rigorous quality control. All items are inspected before dispatch.
– Returns are accepted only under the conditions defined in this policy.
– MAPO reserves the right to refuse returns or exchanges that do not respect these requirements.
– All return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the product is proven to be defective.
2. ELIGIBILITY FOR RETURNS
Customers may request a return within 14 days from the date of delivery, in accordance with EU consumer legislation.
Returned items must be:
– Unused, unworn, and in perfect, original condition.
– Free from odours, stains, makeup, damage, or alterations.
– Returned with all tags, labels and original packaging fully intact.
Items that show signs of use or manipulation will be refused and shipped back to the customer at their expense.
3. NON-ELIGIBLE RETURNS
The following situations are not accepted as valid grounds for a free return or refund:
– “Wrong colour” due to screen or device display differences.
– “Wrong size” when the size chosen by the customer matches the item delivered.
– Buyer’s remorse or subjective preference changes.
– Items purchased during promotional campaigns, discounts, or last units (except in exceptional circumstances).
MAPO does not offer free returns for size, fit or colour exchanges under any circumstance.
Returns or exchanges due to size, fit, or colour are allowed; however, they are subject to the following mandatory costs:
– €10.00 + VAT logistical fee (transport, handling, and internal processing).
– €5.20 + VAT packaging fee (MAPO custom box).
– €0.20 + 1.5% of the purchase value + VAT payment processing fee (administrative and financial handling costs).
These fees reflect the actual logistical and operational expenses required to process non-defective returns.
4. DEFECTIVE OR INCORRECT ITEMS
– If the customer receives a defective or incorrect item, MAPO must be notified within 48 hours of delivery.
– Photographic evidence is mandatory and must clearly show the defect or discrepancy.
– Once approved, MAPO will provide the correct return instructions.
5. REFUNDS
– Refunds are processed only after MAPO receives and inspects the returned product.
– Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7–14 business days.
– Shipping costs are non-refundable.
– MAPO may deduct re-shipment or handling fees if the item arrives in non-compliant condition.
6. EXCHANGES
– Exchanges are treated as a new order.
– The customer must return the original item first; after inspection and approval, MAPO will issue a store credit or the customer may purchase a new item independently.
– MAPO does not guarantee stock availability for exchanges.
7. RE-SHIPMENT FEES (ORDERS RETURNED TO SENDER)
If an order is returned to MAPO due to reasons attributable to the customer, incorrect address, failure to collect, refusal of delivery, or absence during courier attempts, the customer is responsible for the re-shipment cost.
Portugal (Mainland): €9.00 + VAT
All Other Countries (including Spain, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Italy): €25.00 + VAT
Re-shipment will only be processed after proof of payment. If the customer refuses to pay the fee, the order may be cancelled without further obligation from MAPO.
8. RETURN INSTRUCTIONS
Customers must request return authorization before sending any item. Items returned without authorization will be refused.

9. FINAL PROVISIONS
MAPO reserves the right to update or modify this policy at any time. The version published at the time of the order applies.
